Essays is a collection of reflections on society and the shape of life. The pieces published here begin with observation, proceed through examination, and seek understanding. They explore the relationship between lived experience and the systems that shape it: technology, language, work, community, memory and public life.
An essay is not a declaration of certainty. It is an attempt. The pieces gathered here are written in that spirit: efforts to think through questions, test assumptions and follow ideas wherever they lead.
The project’s method is outlined in two introductory essays: Dig Where You Stand and On Taking a Position. Together they describe an approach grounded in observation, inquiry and understanding.
